Bianchi Wants Out ???

There are reports circulating in the Italian media that Marco Bianchi is looking to leave Manchester United.

" I have won everything in English football except the FA cup. I've won the champions league also with Manchester United. Sometime in the near future i would like to play in such competitions with other clubs as well. Just as a new challenge. I love United of course and have enjoyed playing with my team mates a lot. I intend to stay here at least until my contract is out. " ... The Italian daily quoted him as saying.

Bianchi has been a central figure for the United midfield and he enjoys a god like status amongst the fans, but with rumors of training ground clashes with new signing Svec and reports of his star status affecting life in the United dressing room, there may be more than just smoke in the italian report.

We asked Alan McCready for his comments on the issue.

" I havent spoken to Marco ( Bianchi ) about this. He has never come to me with any discontent and I honestly dont think theres a lot of truth to the report.

That said, Marco has been a faithful servant of this club since i signed him and if he needs a change in his career we would have to seriously consider that. I'd hate to see him leave, as would any United fan or player. However, Marco's feelings must be considered as well. I will discuss this with Marco, at some point in the near future, but i wouldnt read too much into the report.

As far as the training ground clashes with team mates are concerned. The story is pure hogwash. No one ever gets along all the time but that doesnt mean you've been at each other's throats in training."

Experts close to United say, allthough Alan sounds magnanimous to the media, he will be doing all he can to keep Bianchi at United.

In Other news
, the club confirm they have agreed to a transfer deal with Cork City for United academy product, Chris Knowles. The young right back, was reportedly excited at the prospect of playing as back up for the club. Knowles has been touted as a future england star and United will have thought twice before letting him go.

" The boys got talent for sure and he wanted to get down to playing first team football soon. With all the cover we have at right back I'm not sure that would have been possible for him here. We have to consider the future of young players like Chris when we make transfer decisions and we decided it was best to let Chris move to Cork. He's a good lad and we wish him all the best. " ... McCready said at his weekly conference in response to a media question pertaining to youth development.
