It was that man Dominic Ferguson again who popped up to score a sublime hatrick as United tightened the screws on their conquest of the premier league crown this season.

United's holy trinity of the attacking midfielder ( David McCabe) with 2 forwards ( Dom Ferguson and Dave Robinson ) came up trumps again as they made Arsenal look ordinary at the emirates stadium.

The weather promised a torrid time for Arsenal as 3 minutes into the game a slip from defender Lucas Sevcik allowed David McCabe to latch on to Robinson's driven low cross into the area. McCabe tucked it away into the bottom left corner to score the first of the night.

United's attacking trio along with winger Michal Svec then went on to play some excellent one touch football to score United's Second and Third and the 14th and 34th minute. Both placed shots from the edge of the box by Dom Ferguson.

The Second half saw Arsenal show more intent and hunger as they battled for the ball and dominated posession. The United defence was not to be undone though as they easily held on to the 3-0 lead. Ryan page then dispossessed the Arsenal attacking at the 75th minute to set of Ferguson on a run as he lobbed the ball ahead for Ferguson to score a simple slot in for his third of the night. United fans were in full voice and the Arsenal faithfull were silenced watching the ex-arsenal striker seal the victory for their opponents.

Arsenal forward Sam O'Sullivan picked up a consolation goal late into the game as United's defense tired, but it was a small consolation that couldnt make up for a 4-1 loss to their league rivals.

We caught up with Manager Alan McCready for some post match comments :

What a game Alan!, did you expect a victory of this magnitude ?

Honestly, I thought it would be a lot closer, with the winner winning by a 2-1 scoreline or even a draw. I'm pleased that the players found that extra bit of flair playing against Arsenal today.

Where do you think Arsenal faltered ?

I think we wanted it more today. If you look at the stats they're pretty even for both teams. It came down simply to better finishing and more hunger up front.

Is the premier league in the bag now Alan ?
Its not over until its over. We'll still take it one game at a time and perform to win. I will say though, that I am happy with our position and our opponents cant make anymore mistakes if they want to challenge us. Thats a good place to be in.

Theres talk of a treble for United. Your views ?

Im not the one talking about it ( smile ). Trebles happen. You dont plan for them. You plan for the next game. We'll try to win every game we play. We'll see where that takes us.

Last question, Ryan Nelsen ( Arsenal Manager ) commented that your loss to stoke could make you vulnerable today. Any words for him ?

Ryan is a smart man. He should know United don't like to lose twice in a row.
